A light white, a disgrace
September 7 – January 13, 2019
Roxana Alger Geffen
Curated by Eames Armstrong
Opening Reception: Friday, September 21, 7-9 pm
Salon Discussion: Sunday, November 4, 5-7pm
A light white, a disgrace presents assemblages of found or familiar fabrics, tender buttons, and useful housewifely junk. Generations of scraps, both tactile and immaterial, are bundled into new artifacts, tied with privilege and bound to time- totems to the powerful fictions and histories we tell about ourselves.
