In Jesus at Guantanamo Matthew Vaky creates a hilarious and startling examination of US policy towards enemy
combatants. What would happen if Jesus, our Lord and Savior, came back to earth? What would happen if he were
picked up in the Middle East and whisked away to Guantanamo Bay? Water boarded, sleep deprived, no lawyer, no
food. Torture or not, Christ is talking. Torture or not?
A veteran of Minneapolis’ Guthrie Theatre, Matthew Vaky performed in Lee Blessing’s one man show Chesapeake at
the Bay Theatre, and was Galileo at Theatre of the First Amendment’s The Life of Galileo.
