Victoria Ganea

My artwork is an ongoing exploration of style and expression. I experiment with still life, abstract compositions, and portraiture, bringing together elements of her heritage and personal experiences. I explore the balance between tradition and modernity, blending cultural influences with contemporary techniques. Through this evolving process, her work captures moments of beauty, introspection, and transformation.

Tryst

Tryst is known for having huge lounging sofas, eclectic art on the walls, with no corporate coffee and no matching silverware.  You can stop by for a quick cup on your way to work, or you can lounge all day with a great book. Their specialty coffees and menus are favorites for regulars and tourists, and they’re famous for always serving two animal crackers with each drink. Tryst builds meaningful connections, one animal cracker at a time.

From the Artist

Born and raised in Moldova, Victoria draws deep inspiration from the rich traditions of her homeland. Her art reflects the textures and colours of Moldova’s cultural heritage, weaving together the stories and memories that have shaped her life.

Leaving her home country in her early 20s, she set out to explore the world, immersing herself in new cultural perspectives. Having lived in London, Italy, and Belgium, she absorbed the culture, drawing inspiration from each place. London’s energy and mix of influences sharpened her bold expression, Italy’s rich history and craftsmanship deepened her appreciation for beauty and storytelling, and Belgium’s blend of tradition and innovation sparked her interest in texture and colour. Now living and creating in Washington, DC, she continues to evolve her art, influenced by the city's unique culture. Each experience has left an imprint on her creative process, shaping a body of work that is ever evolving, experimental, and deeply personal.
