We asked artists what we could provide to support their art practice, and the answer was unanimous — access to space. So, as an Artist Member, you'll receive monthly access to our space! Looking to work on a larger art piece or collaborate with other artists? You've got space for that. Looking to rehearse a new song or monologue for an audition? Move it from the bedroom to the stage. Simply reserve a time that works for you online in the Artist Member Portal, and that's it — you're free to create.

The DC Art Center’s new Workshop Series provides opportunities to develop your craft and your art business. From learning how to professionally photograph your work in a gallery or gaining a better understanding of contract law and negotiation to picking up a new technique or craft, members gain access to monthly professional development training — free of charge.

We’re giving members 2 free squares (a $100 value) at our annual community exhibition WallMountables. (That’s half the cost of your membership right there!) We’re also removing all application fees for members when applying to any of our programs at The DC Arts Center. Even more, if chosen to participate in our Sparkplug Artists’ Collective, we’ll waive the $250 yearly tuition. And if you're showing in our gallery, we’ll make sure you see even more of the profit when your work sells. Artist Members will keep 70% of profits as compared to the customary 60% for non-member artists.

As a member, you’ll gain access to exclusive networking events allowing you to grow your professional network and strengthen your creative connections — including our upcoming Collectors Events. We’re also going to work with our members to create exclusive DCAC merchandise offering another avenue for you to display your talents to the world. You’ll also be eligible to apply for inclusion in our upcoming Flat File Program and to be represented alongside DC Arts Center at art fairs all across the city.

Annual Memberships: Annual Memberships to The DC Arts Center are non-refundable. Memberships auto-renew annually unless canceled by the member. When canceled, a member’s current membership remains active until the end of month 12. Cancelation will prevent the membership from auto-renewing following month 12. Annual Memberships can not be prorated. A reminder email is sent prior to membership renewal no later than 30 days prior to membership renewal. The total cost of an Annual Membership is $200 and $50 for students.
