The Diner is a 24/7 modern diner with old school appeal in Adams Morgan. As one of the most popular restaurants in the neighborhood, they enjoy serving old-fashioned milkshakes, huge grilled burgers, and all-day brunch. The Diner is a favorite for regulars and tourists alike. Large hand-painted murals are in the backdrop, as large leather oversized booths and rustic bar stools fill their welcoming space. They serve classic American comfort foods and drinks that embrace the diversity of the District’s residents and their tastes 24/7.

From the Artist
An insomniac with boundless nervous energy and a Buddha's soul Kirk Knoll is an artist working out of the Washington, DC area.
As a lifelong civil servant with a punk rock edge, Kirk finds love and passion as a musician, a writer and a painter. He works mostly with acrylics on canvas. A combination of bottomless optimism paired with stark realism, anchored by the Latin phrase Memento Mori, has created a mercurial, distinctive palette of joy and life that is sometimes confused with darkness. Kirk takes the opportunity to find the beauty in every moment, and it can be felt in his work.
Kirk earned a Graphics Arts degree from Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Ks and his love of the graphic arts reverberates through his art.
A collection of Kirk's work can currently be found at Lucy Loves in Fairfax City, VA and the New Baking Company in Santa Fe, NM.
Kirk had several of his pieces at the Mozaik Gallery on famous Canyon Road in Santa Fe, NM. His work was displayed during the month of January at the Morning Times in Raleigh, NC. He will also have a month-long exhibit at the Raleigh Wine Shop in Raleigh, NC, beginning May 1.
